Rest is also part of the trip. At the Andén de Novellana hostel, you will find a quiet and comfortable space, designed to regain strength and face the next stage of the Camino.

We have shared and private rooms, adapted to the different ways of experiencing the Saint Jacob’s Way and designed for all types of travellers: pilgrims, cyclists, couples and small groups.

Is this a hostel designed for pilgrims on Saint Jacob’s Way?

Yes. We are a hostel in Novellana, located on the Northern Coastal Variant of Saint Jacob’s Way, and we
are especially oriented to pilgrims who travel the Saint Jacob’s Way through Asturias.

What kind of rooms does the hostel offer?

We have shared and private rooms. You can choose between multi-bed dorms or a double room with a
private bathroom, depending on the type of rest you need during your Camino.

Is it a quiet place to rest?

Yes. The hostel is designed as a space for rest and recovery, in a quiet setting, ideal for sleeping well
and facing the next stage with renewed energy.

Have the beds got an individual light and plug?

Yes. Each bed has a light, plug and space for personal belongings, so you can charge devices and have your belongings close at hand.

Can I book a private room if I am travelling as a couple or in a group?

Yes. The rooms for 4 people can be booked for private use, and we also have a double room, perfect for couples or pilgrims looking for more privacy.

Do you offer dinner and breakfast?

Yes. You can have breakfast and dinner at the hostel itself, a very comfortable option after a day on the
Camino without having to go anywhere else.

Is it necessary to book in advance?

Yes, especially in high season (July and August). Booking in advance ensures you a place and peace of
mind when planning your stage.

Is the hostel suitable for pilgrims by bicycle?

Yes. Our location, close to the Camino del Norte and the N-634, is widely used by pilgrims who do the Camino by bike.

What time do the trains pass? Do they affect your rest?

The railway line is still active, but the trains pass at very specific times and are compatible with rest, so they do not interfere with your sleep.

Where is the hostel located?

We are in Novellana (Asturias), very close to the coast and a few kilometres from Playa del Silencio, in a natural and quiet environment. (441 Exit, A-8 motorway)

Can I stay here even if I am not doing the Camino?

Of course. The hostel is also ideal for travellers, cycle tourists and people looking for a different kind of
accommodation on the Asturian coast.
